Another From the Protests

Finally the outside steps
in. Or this group of people
"outs" together, whatever
the nature of the protest.
Most of the people driving by support our symbolic "us,"
or are honking to say "thanks for the flowers,"
or at your homemade sign. A libertarian attacks
a Marxist: "People are only oppressed
by the government." Stand facing South.
You look ill, the free
cookie perfectly timed. Is it time yet?
School stories. R exists!
I wake up in the car
("How long have I been asleep?,"
"Where are they all now?," thinking
"Where am I?," and almost, "And who?"
"Is it time yet?" This highway
runs into the ocean. As of tonight, matters
of principle are overshadowed
by an ethic of universal care.

No longer feeling guilty that
demonstrating cheered me up (happiness
is practical). The missile shows us a strangled image
of Jawas on Tattooine.
