Passing notes at the UN?
At a meeting at the United Nations General Council
today, it was discovered that deragatory notes were being passed among
it's members. Despite a request from the United States that the authors
of the notes be brought forth publicly, it was decided by mojority
vote that only the contents of the notes be made public. This was,
in the words of one official, done "in order to avoid international
incident."
The contents of most of the notes seemed to poke fun
at the United States, according to portions of the notes which have
been released to the press. "This is most unproffesional behavior
on the part of the delegates involved," US representatives stated
in what could be described as a "huff" this afternoon. "As
the most powerful nation on Earth, we beleive that we deserve more
respect that this."
The notes refered to the United states delegates as
"rude" and "cruel-minded", with "sadistic
thoughts of world superiority and domination." The notes appeared
to be written in a variety of handwrittings, and in more than one
language, thus implicating that more than one delegate was involved.
"This is what might be described as "very
third grade.," a US spokesperson sasserted this afternoon. "This
is not going to be tolerated of the floor of the UN if we have anything
to say about it."
"they think that they can just bully anybody around
by running and crying to mommy about it," one of the delegates
from whom the notes had been confiscated stated this afternoon. "just
because I have the guts to call them 'slimey fish-stinking pig-dogs!
They have not true guts, these Americans."
The American delegation could not be reached for comment
this afternoon.
