as they were documentary. so that it wouldn't lead to anybody getting

on by strangers

i'm slowly working backward...

i decided to keep the frame

because we live in a frag
mented world
of multiple inter
pretations
of official reports...
i added an index by title...
search engines still
pull up
lots
of
dead
links to our previous URL...
things used to be
more different than
they are
now...
i'll try to make the site

interactive by adding
perhaps
a guest book/
bathroom wall
cgi-script
to let people write
comments
directly into
the site...
a search engine...
i should have used MySQL
but the idea of a
poetry database
would have seemed obscene to me
made
no
sense
until about june...
i would have
laughed
out

at the suggestion...
yesterday
i discovered a Unix command
at
which means
"at"...
this means
i'll be able to change the newspoem
at
precisely midnight central standard time
even if i am asleep...
last month we got a hit from Saudi Arabia...
i don't know whether to correct you guys' spelling errors...
poetic license is pretty lax on the internet...
