Newspoetry Service Disrupted by Y2K Bug

Y2K: Urbana, IL's Upper East Side (Associated Poets): After the champagne and hugs, I tiptoed downstairs to log on and see if newspoetry was still humming.

It wasn't, and by my calculations wouldn't
until 2010.

It was my bad; so I changed

$yr = $year % 100;

to

$yr = sprintf "%2.2d", $year % 100;

and slunk back upstairs to rejoin the party, soberer
for the experience.
