Winning Lottery Numbers

33 million Americans below the poverty line.
2 kinds of people; those who might as well buy lottery tickets and those whose time is too valuable to be spent buying lottery tickets.
1 winner: the "house".
12 times more likely to die of a heart attack while waiting in line to buy the ticket than you are to win.
37 3.7 times the budget of the National Endowment for the Arts.
4 percent state taxes to the winner's state, in part the cash of desparate out-of-state losers.
