Public Land

I tell you, when I travel our National Forests
    I get hungry.
I like beef, sirloin or filet mignon done
    medium rare.
Ahh, juicy beef cooked on a charcoal grill.
    Oh, the delicious smoke.
And when I'm in our National Forests
    I wish I was a hunter.
Elk might be good or maybe, a deer filet
but it's the cows I want to hunt.
And hunting's legal in our National Forests, you can
almost smell the steaks out there.
So, for just a couple of weekends a year, I think
    cow hunting should be legal.
Get a cow license and tag, and go out and bag one.
That's what I want to do.
Yah, when I'm in our National Forest,
I wish I was hunting cow.
